On Wednesday we celebrated the return of the highly anticipated industry awards
Well, what a night! The Publican awards came back this week and were bigger than ever in 2020. And this year CPL Learning were once again proud sponsors of the leading industry awards, along with our parent company CGA.
With some of the biggest names in the pub industry in attendance, tensions were high as we waited to find out the winners. Hosted by stand-up comedian and presenter, Rob Beckett – here’s all the news from the highly anticipated event.
At the very least, it’s always going to be a great night with almost 1,500 of the superstars of the pub, bar and brewing world under one roof! And this year we were treated to a wining, dining and entertainment experience like no other at Evolution London in Battersea.
And the winners are…
After an amazing set from our celebrity host, it was time for everyone to stop biting their nails and find out who the winners were.
With a broad range of pub companies taking home titles, we saw Stonegate take home the title of Best Pub Employer – 501+ employees, Liberation Group nab the Best Food Offer award and The Inn Collection Group celebrated as Best Pub Employer – up to 500 employees.
Some other winners included Greene King named as the Best Sustainable Pub Company, Cirrus Inns take home the Best Drinks Offer title and the Head of Steam, Leeds – Cameron’s Brewery awarded Best New Pub/Bar.
James Staughton OBE, President of St Austell’s was honoured with an Outstanding Industry Contribution award and Simon Fuller, CEO of Fuller’s was named Business Leader of the Year.
And our own COO, Jamie Campbell presented the award for Best Managed Pub Company (51+ sites) to Mitchell and Butlers brand Nicholson’s.
